Bridget is a certified ChiRunning and ChiWalking Instructor and was trained by the founder of ChiRunning, Danny Dreyer.  She has been running regularly since the late 80’s but has never been able to train consistently due to frequent injuries.  A period of running well and feeling fit was always followed by a period of injury then the inevitable work of getting back to fitness.  After years of this she was about to give up running for good but wanted to ensure that she had explored all possible options to help her keep running.  Hearing people say she ran ‘like a windmill’ with arms and legs facing outwards rather than forwards convinced her that she had to change her technique if she was to continue running.

Since then she has learnt the Pose method of running which helped in some areas but caused problems in other areas.  She has also had Alexander Technique lessons which helped but still the injuries persisted.

Finally, she came across ChiRunning and has never looked back.  Bridget believes the main benefit of ChiRunning is learning to relax when running and is convinced that this is what has helped her stay injury free and able to run consistently.  Even the plantar fasciitis  she suffered with for eighteen months prior to attending her first workshop has gone.

Sarah is a certified ChiRunning and ChiWalking Instructor and was also trained by Danny Dreyer, the founder of the techniques.  She lives in Leeds with her husband and three children.

She has been a keen runner for a number of years but found as she increased her mileage she experienced frequent injury.  Like many runners, she associated running with injury and experienced the despondency that comes from missing weeks of training due to pain and discomfort.

Once introduced to ChiRunning, she found she could run with ease, without discomfort and, most of all, achieve a greater level of relaxation within her running.  Sarah felt so passionately about the benefits of the technique that she decided to undertake the instructor training so that she could spread the word and challenge the notion that running needs to be painful and exhausting - ChiRunning is a revolutionary running form that reduces impact and teaches your body to move with the flow of energy.
